As candidate running for re-election for Mayor of the City of Delafield, Kent Attwell is committed to fiscally responsible budgets. He supports an open and transparent city government that encourages citizen participation and to providing a level of service that treats every citizen as the city's number one customer. As Mayor, Attwell puts a high priority on giving every citizens a greater voice in city government, particularly when it comes to new projects and service changes by using modern communication methods to push information to citizens.

Attwell has worked at SABIC, the third largest chemical producer in the world, and previous owner General Electric Corp., for 29 years and has received numerous performance awards from both companies throughout the years. As Senior Strategic Account Manager, he is involved in commercial management, overseeing budgets, managing clients and taking care of customers. With annual budgets more than three times the size of the City of Delafield's, Attwell has been a proven performer at SABIC and G.E.

For the past 19 years Attwell has also been a public servant for the City of Delafield. He has solid working knowledge of city government and its citizens. He has served at Mayor the last four years and was the District 1 alderperson for the 3 years prior. He has served on the Lake Welfare Committee for 15 years with eleven of those years as Chairman, and on the Planning Commission for seven years. During this time, he has successfully served four Mayors and three City Administrators.

Attwell has also served on the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Society of Plastic Engineers for 20 years and was inducted into organization's Hall of Fame in 2011.  He's also served 20 years on the Board of the organization's Education Foundation as their current president for seventeen of those years. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Lake Country School Education Foundation for elevan years. Attwell is currently on the executive board for Delafield Lions and has served on the Board of Directors for 7 years. He Also serves on the Patient advocacy Board at UW Cancer Center at ProHealthcare for the past 7 years. He is currently a member of the Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club, the Sons of the American Legion and Tall Pines Conservancy.

Attwell has a B.A. in Operations Management and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. He has been living in Delafield with his wife, Amy, since 1996. They have three children. Mackenzie, 23, is applying to medical schools. Kent, Jr., 21, is a junior in electrical engineering at the University of Cincinnati, and Samantha, 17, attending Arrowhead High school.
